The beautiful new hanging flower planters are now up throughout downtown Brockton, and we hope you’ll take some time to stroll our streets, visit our local businesses, and enjoy the vibrant splash of color they bring to our community.
This project is a wonderful example of what can happen when so many people come together with a shared vision for a more beautiful, welcoming downtown.
A heartfelt thank you to State Senator Michael Brady, State Representative Rita Mendes, and State Representative Bridget Plouffe for their leadership and support in securing the earmark funding that made this initiative possible.
Thank you to the Brockton Department of Public Works for their outstanding work installing the planters. Your crew was absolutely amazing.
Thank you to G. Norwood Landscape for beautifully planting each basket, and to the Brockton Garden Club for generously serving as the stewards who will care for them throughout the season.
We are also grateful to the City of Brockton and the Brockton City Council for their continued partnership and support in helping bring this project to life.
A special thank you to John Fay for coordinating with Earth Planter and mapping the placement of each planter, helping ensure every basket found the perfect home throughout downtown.
Finally, thank you to Paul Umano and the entire Downtown Brockton Association Executive Committee for their vision, planning, and leadership throughout the development of this initiative. Their commitment and countless hours behind the scenes helped transform an idea into a project that will brighten downtown for residents, businesses, and visitors all season long.
Projects like this remind us that small investments in beauty can make a big difference in how we experience our downtown. We hope these flowers bring a smile to everyone who visits, works, shops, and lives here.
Come downtown, take a walk, support a local business, and enjoy the blooms!
