Downtown Brockton Association Membership Dues
The Downtown Business Association provides valuable information to the community from for-profit and non-profit businesses to government agencies. The goal is to keep these groups and organizations updated with business, organizational and government improvements that effect residents and businesses within the downtown area and the greater area. With a scheduled monthly forum, it puts all interested parties at the table for public conversation.
For the past 35 years, we have charged a minimal membership fee to pay for the upkeep of web services and basic staffing to organize meetings and speakers.The coordination of efforts on a monthly basis is truly more than a volunteer position. During the pandemic, we did not collect membership fees knowing that businesses were struggling. We always want to create a space that no matter whether you pay a membership fee or not you are always encouraged to join in the conversation.
With the new website and the growth of the Business Improvement District (BID), we are looking at collecting the membership fee starting in January 2023. Our website will be updated weekly and offer these benefits:
- A business listing within our directory that has a link to your website or social media platform.
- An event calendar that allows you to put your event out to the community at large
- An opportunity to speak at our monthly meetings as an information platform into your community projects.
- Networking with local business owners and government officials at yearly event
Participate in the 2023 SWOT Analysis
It has been 2 years since the last evaluation/ input of the Downtown Brockton Association. It was August of 2021 where over 100 people participated in a day long forum. We are renewing this effort and ask if you could take a few minutes of your time to provide your thoughts on regarding Downtown Brockton's Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. Your input will serve as a guide for our goals for the upcoming year.
